Just Believe Stamp Set - embossing technique

Stamps: Just Believe, Baroque Border Standard Wheel

Paper: Night of Navy CS, Old Olive CS, Daffodil Delight CS, Newsprint DSP (retired)

Ink: White craft ink; Old Olive, Versamark, Watercolor pencils

Accessories: twine; white embossing powder, heating tool; sponges, scallop trim punch

Here are the steps to produce the embossing technique shown here with the white embossing powder:

1. Stamp image on DSP with Versamark ink
2. Apply white embossing power over stamped image, and tap off excess
3. Heat powder using heating tool
4. With sponge, apply Old Oive classic around heat embossed imaged
5. Wipe excess ink of heat embossed with image tissue

The technique used to produce the image on the right is somtimes referred to as the "Black Magic" teachnique. Essentially, all you do is stamp your image with white or very vanilla craft ink, wait for the ink to dry (tip: you  can speed up the drying process with your heating tool), and the color in the white parts of the image using your water color pencils.

This is a quick and easy technique that produces a really  cool effect!!
