wedding card

This card is one I made over the weekend to celebrate a friend recently getting married. I uses some SU and non-SU supplies to make this card. I really love how the Pear Pizzaz and Peach Parfait look again the Soft Suede cardstock - elegant and beautiful at the same time!

Easy Events Card Project #6 - Sending you love

Here is a colorful little card to sending some love to someone special =)

Rather than just have a single image of the tree, I stamped it four times and created a focal point by stamping one on Whisper White CS and coloring it in, then stamping it again on So Saffron, Wild Wasabi and Poppy Parade CS in black ink only.

Card Recipe
Paper:
Marina Mist CS; So Saffron CS; Wild Wasabi CS; Poppy Parade CS; Whisper White CS; Peach Parfait CS; Just Add Cake DSP
Ink: Basic Black; Wild Wasabi, Pretty in Pink
Tools: Scallop Square Punch; word window punch; modern label punch
Accessories: Elementary ribbon - So Saffron (retired)

Sweet & Simple Sunday - Easy Event Wedding Wishes

Here is my card project #3 using the Easy Events Stamp Set.

Card Recipe
Paper: Peach Parfait CS; Whisper White CS; Poppy Parade CS; Everyday Enchantment DSP (2012 sale-a-bration)
Stamps: Easy Events
Tools: Full Heart Punch, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch

This card may look a little complicated, but it really isn't at all! I used the dotted scallop ribbon punch to add a border to the Everyday Enchantment DSP, and punched out a couple of hearts with my full heart punch (also using Everyday Enchantment DSP) to add extra embellishments.

Hope you like it!

Top Note Valentine's Day Treat Holder

Valentine's Day is just around the corner! Check out this cute little Valentine's Day treat holder created using Stampin Up's Top Note Die.

Project Recipe:
Paper: Real Red CS; Real Red DSP - Brights Paper Pack; Whisper White CS
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Real Red
Tools: Big Shot; Top Note Die; Full Heart Punch, Word Window Punch
Accessories: 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon

After running my real red CS through the Big Shot with my Top Note Die, I scored the top note at 1 7/8" on both sides using my scoring tool. Simply fold along the scored lines you just created, and adhere you cany inside with SNAIL adhesive. Wrap it with your ribbon, embellish, and...ta-da!
All done!

~Happy Valentine's Day everyone~

Everyday Enchantmet Valentine's Day Ensemble

February is officially here and that means Valentine's Day is not far away. As part of my tribute to the month of "love," I created this Valentine's Day Ensamble using the Everday Enchantment DSP available in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. I created two cards and one pillow box treat holder.
I thought these items were super cute, and I used two of them for a customer's workshop that was hosted this week =)

Baja Breeze is truly  becoming one of my favorite shades of blue! It looks great here against the Poppy Parade Polka Dot embossed layer. Soft Suede also compliments very well to help achieve a vintage/antique look to a project.

Card Recipe
Paper: Baja Breeze CS, Poppy Parade CS; naturals white CS; Pear Pizazz CS; Everyday Enchantment DSP
Stamps: Sprinkled Expressions (2012 sale-a-bration item)
Ink: Soft Suede; poppy parade; baja breeze; pear pizazz
Accessories: baja breeze pleated satin ribbon (2012 occasions mini)
Tools: full heart punch, scallip trim border punch, curly label punch, little leaves die

I made this pillow box treat box to coordinate with the above card.

Porject Recipe
Paper: Baja Breeze CS; Everyday Enchantment DSP (2012 sale-a-bration); Naturals White CS
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Tools: Pillow box die, full heart punch, word window punch
Ink: Poppy Parade; Soft Suede
Accessories: Calypso Corral Organdy Ribbon (2012 Sale-a-bration)

For the second card in this ensamble, I decided to switch up the colors a little bit.
Card Recipe
Paper: Confetti Cream CS; Poppy Parade CS; Baja Breeze CS; Everyday Enchantment DSP
Stamps: Just Beleive
Ink: Poppy Parade
Tools: Dotted Scallop Ribbon punch; Full heart punch; Word window punch; modern label punch

Technique Tip: If you're wondering how I made the edges like I did for the DSP square, I first cut a 3x3 sized suqare of Everyday Enchantment DSP. Then I took the dotted scallop ribbon punch and punched in the middle of each side of the square to form the square corners. I hope this explanation makes sense =) Once I get a tripod for my Flip video, I plan on make short videos of some techniques I use.

Hope you all enjoyed today's post!

Sweet & Simple Sunday -Sending you love

Oh Sundays...should be a day of rest and relaxation as we start a brand new week =) To keep in the R&R spirit, my goal is to keep my Sunday card projects Sweet & Simple. The cards shown below are actually cased from the 2012 Sale-A-Bration mini catalog.

Both cards use Confetti White CS for the base, and I adhered a strip of DSP from my Brights Paper Pack to the bottom of the card front for a bit of added color.  Both cards were created with images from the Easy Events Stamp set.

For the Sending You Love card, I inked the image in Stazon, then colored it in with my markers and Acquapainter. To stamp the additional trailing hearts, I used my basic black marker to ink only that image of the stamp, and colored in the hearts with Regal Rose.

I accented the tiny heart on the tree with SU's new Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details (featured in the 2012 Occasions Mini). I wrote over the word "love" with  my Regal Rose marker.

For the "Be Mine" card, I used the lovebird image from the Easy Event Stamp Set, but used the "Be Mine" sentiment for the Outlined Occasions stamp set (available for FREE beginning January 24th during the Sale-A-Bration period). The lovebirds were colored using my Many Marvelous Markers (LOVE LOVE LOVE the markers!) in Baja Breeze and Pink Pirouette. I used Old Olive on the leaves and Regal Rose for the tiny heart.

These cards are definitely sweet and simple...perfect for a Sunday afternoon of stamping!

Love is already in the air

I know we are barely half way through the month of January in this new year, but I couldn't help but start planning for Valentine's Day already! =)  My brain has been working overtime preparing for my upcoming Open House on Saturday Jan. 21 (click here to rsvp - this is a FREE event!), and for my February class. I, of course, had to use more stuff from the wonderful new Occasions Mini and Sale-A-Bration Catalog!

SU's Elegant Eggplant is one of my favorite colors! I thought the Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise would go great with the Elegant Eggplant and contrast very well.

Card Recipe:
Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Confetti White, Tempting Turquoise & Melon Mambo DSP Patterns Pack
Stamps: Outlined Occasions
Ink: Basic Black, Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo
Accessories: Melon Mambo Polka Dot Ribbon (from clearance rack)
Tools: Big Shot, Fashionable Hearts Embosslit

I love the detail you get with the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit! For all you multi-taskers like myself, this die cuts and embosses at the same time! Double Whammee! Here, I cut hearts from memol mambo DSP and elegant Eggplant CS. I layered some over each other using dimensions.

The sentiment is from the Outlined Occasions Stamp Set, which is available for FREE during the Sale-A-Bration period beginning on January 24th. During the Sale-A-Bration period, you earn free products from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog with every $50 order (before tax and shipping).
